What is a Serve Team?

Serve Teams are the volunteer teams that support the ministries of Ridgeway Church. From Sunday mornings to weekday ministries and special events, volunteers use their time and gifts to serve others and help carry out our mission of renewing culture through the transformative power of the Gospel.

Serving is a practical way to get involved, build community, and make a meaningful contribution to the life of the church.

Investing in the next generation is one of the most meaningful ways to serve—and it's easier than you might think.

At Ridgeway Kids, we do the heavy lifting so you can focus on building relationships with children and sharing God's love. Every lesson includes a prepared curriculum, clear teaching notes, discussion questions, activities, and all the supplies you'll need. There's no need to create lessons from scratch or worry about what to say—we've already done the planning for you.

Whether you're leading a lesson, helping with activities, or simply being a friendly, consistent presence, you'll be supported every step of the way by our Children's Ministry team.

You don't have to be a teacher to make an impact. If you have a heart to encourage kids and help them grow in their faith, there's a place for you at Ridgeway Kids.

Our Teams

HOSPITALITY

This team creates an inviting atmosphere for people to gather and worship -- from greeting people at the door to answering questions and serving coffee.

MEDIA

This team captures and shares the story of what God is doing at Ridgeway through photography, videography, graphic design, social media, and digital content. Volunteers help communicate our mission and engage people both inside and outside the church.

FOOD PANTRY

This team serves those in need by organizing and distributing food, demonstrating Christ’s care in practical ways that meet real needs.

OUTREACH

This team exists to share the Gospel and demonstrate the love of Christ in our community. Through evangelism, outreach events, and intentional conversations, volunteers seek opportunities to build relationships, invite others into the life of the church, and help people take their next step toward Jesus.

PRAYER

This team ministers to individuals through prayer during Sunday worship services. Prayer Team members provide compassionate, confidential, and Scripture-centered prayer for those seeking encouragement, healing, guidance, or support. Training and an interview are required before serving on this team.

MUSIC

This team leads our congregation in worship through song. Use your musical gifts to lead others into the presence of Christ, inspiring hearts to worship and grow closer to Him.

SPECIAL EVENTS

This team helps plan, prepare, and serve at church-wide events throughout the year. From setup and hospitality to logistics and cleanup, Special Events volunteers help create meaningful experiences for our church family and community.

SPECIAL NEEDS

This team creates a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children and adolescents with special needs while providing respite and encouragement for their families. Volunteers serve with compassion, patience, and joy to ensure every guest is valued and included.

PRODUCTION

This team manages all audio/visual aspects of our worship services -- running the sound board, controlling slides and lighting, and managing our live stream of services.
