Caring for Caregivers, Loving Every Child
In the United States, 13-15% of people are affected by some type of physical or cognitive disability. Divorce rates in families impacted by special needs are soaring toward 75%.
The weight and stress of finding proper doctors, teachers, financial resources and relational support for children with special needs can be overwhelming for caregivers.

A Break That Matters
These responsibilities, as well as the never-ending needs of daily care, are squeezed into days already filled with the usual routine of caring for a household, siblings and self.
Opportunities to get a break are rare, yet desperately needed. The Buddy Break Program of Ridgeway Church exists to offer support to these families.

Buddy Break Program

The Buddy Break Experience
Buddy Break is a free, monthly Parent’s Night Out/Respite Program where children with all types of special needs and their siblings have FUN, while their parents get a BREAK.
During this time, children and adolescents make new friends, play games, do crafts, hear children’s stories, enjoy music and more, while their parents get much-needed time to take a break and recharge their batteries.

Our Buddy Break program meets the Second Friday of every month from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM.
This is a free program, yet a preliminary interview and registration is required.
